Lily was raised in Rapid City and graduated from Stevens High School. Lily and her husband, Tyler (also a Stevens High School graduate), have three children, Riley, Ethan, and Haleigh. Lily originated the idea of developing a children’s museum in Rapid City after visiting the children’s museum in Denver with her family. She saw the wonder and excitement in her children when visiting other children’s museums which then solidified her belief that a children’s museum in the Black Hills would be a wonderful asset to the community. After sharing this idea with some good friends and involving community members, excitement grew and the idea of developing the Children’s Museum of the Black Hills gained momentum. It is Lily’s passion to offer fun, enriching, educational opportunities to all children of the Black Hills.
