The Children’s Museum of the Black Hills is quickly gaining momentum! The word is getting out and people are excited about the idea. With that in mind, we are beginning our Founding 50 Fundraising Campaign. The Founding 50 campaign is designed to reach a goal of $50,000 through the generous gift of $1,000 from 50 individuals, businesses, and foundations in and around the Rapid City community. Funding from the Founding 50 will be targeted to fund a consultant who specializes in emerging museum planning and feasibility studies, exhibit development, marketing, capital campaign development, and most importantly, community outreach.
The Founding 50 members, will be recognized with a distinctive plaque that will be a piece of a unique art piece that will be hung in the museum. Once the museum is open, there will be an interactive exhibit designed by and devoted to the Founding 50 Members that celebrates, in a tangible way, their active role in and generous support of The Children’s Museum of the Black Hills. The Founding 50 will have a role in designing this unique exhibit.
